We are excited to introduce our new Fuel Up to Play 60 player ambassador, New England Patriots safety #23, Kyle Dugger!
Kyle grew up in Decatur, Georgia and began playing football his senior year of high school. After graduating, he attended and played football at Lenoir-Rhyne in Hickory, North Carolina. Kyle worked his way from a Division II college athlete to being drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round (37th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He credits good nutrition, consistent workouts, and perseverance.
Kyle just completed his third year in the NFL. In the 2022 season, he scored his first two career touchdowns and had a season total of 78 tackles. In his role as player ambassador, Kyle looks forward to sharing his love of nutrition and exercise with kids across New England.
Some fun facts about Kyle:
- Family is his top priority – he has a one-year-old son named Zairo
- He loves basketball and played it in high school
- His favorite dairy foods are yogurt and chocolate milk
- He is left-handed
Fuel Up to Play 60 is made possible and supported by dairy farming families across the country and here in New England. Nearly 74,000 schools across the United States, including nearly 3,600 here in New England, participate in Fuel Up to Play 60. The program empowers students to drive change and work closely with educators to find creative ways to make their schools a healthier place.
