New England Dairy’s 2025 Dairy Promotion Grant program is now accepting applications from farmers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Connecticut.
Dairy farmers and dairy-focused groups are eligible to apply for grant funding of up to $2,400 annually. This funding supports activities that improve public perception of dairy and dairy farming or increase the consumption of local dairy products.
This initiative is part of New England Dairy’s mission to champion the dairy industry, build trust among consumers, and celebrate dairy farming’s vital contributions to nutrition and wellness.
More than $40,000 in grant funding was awarded in 2024 to support projects in communities throughout the region. Recent grant recipients used their funding for:
- Educational camps where kids learned firsthand about dairy farming
- A breakfast on the farm event for the public to enjoy breakfast and farm tours
- Creating and purchasing dairy education materials for community events
- Promoting their farm tour program with printed signage and social media ads
- Covering marketing expenses for an ice cream dairy crawl program
- Producing informative short videos highlighting local dairy farms
There is a rolling application deadline for farmers in Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. The deadline for Connecticut producers to apply is February 28, 2025.
