Instructions:
- Place milk, cocoa powder, and sugar in a small saucepan.

- Whisk in vanilla extract, serve immediately.

For homemade whipped cream:
- Add the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla to a glass or metal bowl.
- Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to whip the cream on high until soft or stiff peaks form.
- Stop mixing occasionally to test the stiffness of the peaks, to avoid over whipping.
