Instructions
- Works best in large oval 6-8 quart slow cooker.
- Cut the 1 pound pizza dough into two sections.
- Roll and stretch one section of dough into an oval 2 inches longer and 2 inches wider than the crock of the slow cooker. Sprinkle with cornmeal or flour and press into both sides of the crust.
- Use the edges of the parchment paper to lower the crust into the crock.
- Add sauce and toppings of choice.
- Lift and stretch the sides of the dough so they stand up past the cheese (creating the deep-dish effect).
- Cover the slow cooker with a long piece of paper towel. Then place the lid over the paper towel and pull it tight (paper towel helps catch excess moisture).
- Slow cook the pizza on high for 2-4 hours checking the progress throughout.
- When ready to serve, lift the pizza using the edges of the parchment paper.
- Let cool, cut, and serve.
- Repeat with 2nd portion of pizza dough.
